My 5on5 Speech at Generation Church
Recently I spoke at my church’s first Wednesday service where they had 5 speakers in their congregation speak for 5 minutes each about their personal testimonies.
If you knew me 20 years ago, I would be close to the last person you would think to put on a church stage and hand a microphone. If I ever had to stand up and speak in front of my class in high school or college, it’s likely I had some spirits in me to help me through the overwhelming anxiety. I’m talking about the spirits you get from the liquor store, not from attending church.
When I became a dad almost 11 years ago, my whole life changed. 3 years after that, when we learned our son Dylan was on the autism spectrum, it further challenged me and moved me along my life’s spectrum to the man God needed me to be.
In this 5 minute speech, I spoke about the miracle we’ve witnessed in Dylan with God’s hand upon our lives. I said that we often miss these miracles while we busily ask for God’s provision to always provide more. I hope you pause today after watching this and meditate on the miracles in your life.
You may not have a microphone in hand, but always be ready to share the story of God in your life. You never know who God is going to place you in front of. It’s a miracle in itself that God chose me to write and speak in ways that could glorify Him.
May you never miss any of your miracles.
